A proud ensemble member of The Factory Theater, he also directed Jill Oliver’s vibrant and silly cartoon-for-adults Adventures of Spirit Force Five. Spenser was the 2020/21 Maggio Directing Fellow at The Goodman Theatre, where he worked alongside Bob Falls on Rebecca Gilman’s Swing State and Adam Rapp’s The Sound Inside. Other directorial credits include A Red Orchid, American Blues, Broken Nose Theatre, First Floor, Hell in a Handbag, Interrobang Theatre Project, Promethean, The New Coordinates, and Steppenwolf 1700. Honors include the Jeff Award for Best Director, the B. Iden Payne Best Director Award, and the M. Elizabeth Osborn Award from the American Theatre Critics Association. He’s represented by both WME and Heroes & Villains Entertainment. As always, so much love to E!
