Wm. Bullion (Director) is a Factory Theater ensemble member and has been a professional director in Chicago for many, many years. His most recent project was creating and directing The Resistible Rise of Herr Helmut Drumpf for his fledgeling new performance collective, The Conspirators. Before that, Wm. directed David Cerda’s masterpiece Scream Queen, Scream! for Hell in a Handbag Productions. Prior to joining The Factory in 2016, he was a member of Akvavit Theatre, directing their hit U.S. premiere of Andri Snær Magnason’s Blue Planet, the Midwest/Chicago premiere of Jon Fosse’s A Summer’s Day and created and directed the original burlesque satire Pippi’s Lost Stockings: A Skirt Raiser. As an actor, you may have caught Billy—NEVER WEARING PANTS, MIND YOU—in three previous Factory shows: League of Awesome (bathrobe), Jenny & Jenni (kilt) and Hotel Aphrodite (full-on grandmother drag). Bullion is also privileged to be the newly minted Artistic Director of DirectorsLabChicago, an artist-service organization dedicated to fostering artistic connections between stage directors around the world.
