Jon Steinhagen (Original Music) is thrilled to be making his Factory Theater debut with Born Ready. A resident playwright at Chicago Dramatists, he has received four Jeff Awards and eleven nominations; his plays and musicals include Blizzard ’67, Successors, The Next Thing, Devil’s Day Off, The Teapot Scandals, ACES, and Inferno Beach. This past season he appeared in The House of Blue Leaves at Raven and End of the Rainbow at Porchlight (for which he also provided musical direction). A collection of his stories, The Big Book of Sounds, was published in October. He is currently working on two ensemble comedies, The Rueful Widows of Macoupin Countyand The Mesmerizing Hypnotia Takes Off, and a musical adaptation of The Magnificent Ambersons.
