Almanya Narula (Janet Avory) is an international actor, combatant, and fight choreographer from Bangkok, currently residing in Chicago. Her most recent project included being the Fight Choreographer and Lead Actor in Nickelback’s music video Feed The Machine. She was most recently seen in First Folio Theatre’s Jeff Recommended production of Captain Blood, where she was able to make use of her stage combat abilities. She is currently the Stunt Coordinator for the upcoming feature film Mollywood and will be choreographing fights for Mercy Street Theatre’s upcoming production of Luz Estrada and Babes With Blades production of The Good Fight. She has understudied multiple Jeff Recommended productions around town such as T at American Theatre Company, Queen at Victory Gardens, In To America at Griffin Theatre and Jackalope Theatre’s production of Octagon, where she understudied the role of Jericho. She was also seen in (re)discover theatre’s experimental adaptation of Farewell My Friend as the gender bent Friar Laurence.  She has worked with other theatre companies around town such as Steep, Babes With Blades, Strawdog, American Blues Theatre and Chicago Dramatists. Raised in Bangkok and Mumbai she has appeared in numerous Bollywood films, television and music videos such Pyaar Ke Geet and Say Na Something To Anupum Uncle. When she is not acting around town, she likes playing with swords and coming up with exciting new fight sequences for various different companies, and is currently interning with R&D Choreography.  In 2015, she received the Sarah Siddons Scholarship for being an outstanding theatre student.
